Tragic Shooting Claims Three Lives at Las Vegas University

Las Vegas-US: In an unfortunate incident at a Las Vegas university on Wednesday, three individuals lost their lives, and another is in critical condition following a shooting, as confirmed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The authorities also revealed that the suspected shooter has been found deceased.

In a statement on social media, the police department reported, “According to our investigators at the scene, we have three deceased victims and one additional victim in critical condition at a local hospital.” They further mentioned, “the suspect in this #ActiveShooter incident is also deceased.”

The response to the incident unfolded when the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, declared a “confirmed active shooter” situation on campus. The shooting location was identified as the Beam Hall, part of the Frank and Estella Building, which houses UNLV’s Lee Business School. Simultaneously, law enforcement was addressing another report of shots fired at the nearby student union.

Around 40 minutes after the initial alert, Las Vegas police announced on social media that the suspect had been located and was confirmed deceased. The university, emphasizing the gravity of the situation, posted on social media, “This is not a test. RUN-HIDE-FIGHT.”
